    Choose from Mild or Spicy.  No-Salt option also available (if you want to add in the salt yourself)

    Store-bought Linguica / Portuguese Sausage usually contains chemicals such as sodium nitrate, sodium nitrite and MSG.  Use this spice blend to make DELICIOUS, ALL-NATURAL, NO MSG Linguica Portuguese Sausage (mild) or Chourico (spicy version) at home.  Just add ground pork (or meat of your choice), vinegar and mix!   A great recommendation is ground pork with 80% lean & 20% fat ratio.  (* We use Trader Joe’s All-Natural Ground Pork.   Their 80%-20% ratio is perfect and plus, there are no antibiotics & no hormones in their meat.)

    Note: This will make a “Fresh” sausage type.  This is much easier to make and smoking is not necessary. 

    IT'S VERSATILE!  Although Linguica is usually made with pork, you can also use Ground Chicken, Turkey, Beef or Plant-Based Mince (e.g. "Beyond Meat") for vegan option!  We made all of these (except the vegan), and they all turned out delicious! Mmmmm! 

     

    Make wonderful dishes!

        Make breakfast sausage patties!  Serve with rice & egg, or make an egg muffin sandwich with cheese.

    ·       Fry the (loose) sausage meat and then spread on for a pizza topping, tastes great!

    ·       Or make patties for a “Linguica Burger”, top with Avocado

    ·       Fry up loose sausage with ground beef to make great tacos, burritos or queso fundido

    ·       You can use as a seasoning to spruce up meats like chicken wings, chicken thighs, pork chops, pork belly and steak

     

    ·       Stuff into casing and cook as desired. (You can smoke your sausages, if you wish, but it is not necessary, as the spices already give its smoky flavor.  But if you prefer to smoke it, due to the time it takes to smoke, we suggest getting several packets to make several pounds of sausages.)
